Progressive Home Runs
To clarify, this year DISL and Sunday Men's are moving to progressive home run (PHR)
limits. PHR's only apply to home runs over the fence.
The DISL Bartholomew Div allows 3 PHR's, while any of the other divisions 2.
On Sunday A Division 3 PHR's and 2 for any other. Note, on Sunday if A plays B,
then they go to 2 PHR's
The way PHR's work is that if a team hits the limit, then they cannot hit any more
home runs over the fence until the other team catches up.
For that team all over the fence home runs become outs.
What makes it progressive is that once the other team reaches the limit, then the limit
increases by 1.
For example, for this game there is a 3 PHR limit. Team A hits their 3
in the 1st inning. Anymore over the fence home runs are outs for Team A.
However, Team B hits their 3 in the 4th inning. At that moment that the
3rd HR is hit, the limit changes to 4 HR's. In that same inning Team B
could hit that 4th HR, BUT any other over the fence HR's would be outs.
Once Team A then hits their 4th, the limit goes to 5 and so on and so on....
